Hi all! The Beta Version is available now. Here is the changelog:

New Features
  • Added two new sectors
  • Added new boss enemy: Alien Frigate
  • Added new enemy: Outlaw Sniper

Tweaks
  • Added nano-bot resource limit
  • Cloud fields will now reduce the sensor range
  • Added distinct HUD markers for drones and turrets
  • Changed HUD marker font for better readability (outine, size)
  • Updated equipment icons which are now also visible in the HUD, in space and in the compare menu
  • Fuel and nano-bots that can't be picked up now have a different (gray) marker
  • Multiple pickup log events of the same type are now grouped in one event with an accumulated pickup amount
  • Perk descriptions will now state which perks are unlocked
  • Added credit reward display when completing a challenge
  • Tweaked map screen
  • Added a perk that is needed to display sector map info on threat levels, natural hazards, trader and service stations
  • Natural hazards (lightning fields, clouds) will now show on the map when a perk is bought
  • Added dark background to repair and refuel station menus
  • Reduced effectiveness of device mods
  • Jump suppressors can no longer be destroyed but need to be hacked
  • Jump suppressors carried by gunships can now be hacked separately
  • Enemy repair drones have been replaced with shield charge drones, that only "repair" the shield
  • Added cloak activation VFX
  • Outlaw Chief will now have anti-missile drones deployed
  • Gunships will no longer spawn in groups
  • Mk2 Alien Fighters are now equipped with fusion blasters and front shields
  • Mk3 Alien Fighters are now equipped with thermo guns
  • Firing weapons while in cloak will now make enemies aware of your position for a short time
  • Unsuccessful Mainframe Override attempts will now turn neutral/friendly targets hostile
  • Balanced Mainframe Override
  • Added minimum damage output to Energy Discharger but increased cooldown time
  • Warship turret shots are now harder to dodge
  • Improved freighter collision with surroundings and AI's obstacle avoidance
  • Increased black hole strength
  • Being hit by lightning will now recharge energy (but still drain shield)
  • Trader now sometimes offers credits for resources

  • Split up the weapon damage mod into hull/shield damage mods
  • Increased drone aim precision
  • Increased enemy spawning distances for construction sites so that they will not crash into meshes so often
  • Planets should no longer occlude the sun
  • Performance-optimized explosions
  • Terran containers now have a "Terran" prefix
  • Added outlines to health and shield bars
Bugfixes
  • Fixed all reported crashes (hopefully)
  • Fixed a bug when all credits where lost when going back from hangar to main menu
  • Fixed a bug where after uninstalling devices sometimes none could be selected/activated
  • Fixed mainframe override resistance of elite enemies
  • Fixed two perk prices that were way too high
  • Fixed slow motion mode still persisting in next run when dying during slow motion
  • Fixed interaction menu prompt not showing when sensors are damaged
  • Fixed jump target not disappearing when gunships with jump suppressors jump in
  • Fixed lightmap material for Alien Gunship
  • Fixed impact sounds not playing in first person mode
  • Added missing Mk2 and Mk3 suffixes to Damage Boosters
  • Fixed Mainframe Override audio loop when the current target is destroyed
  • Fixed a bug where collector drones collide with an invisible sphere around their hangar
  • Fixed a bug where collector drones end up as non-colliding, invincible "ghosts"
  • Fixed Mainframe Override descriptions
  • Pickups that can't be picked up won't give your ship such a massive spin anymore
  • Added missing energy consumption info to Shock Rifle II
  • Added missing stats for Scatter Gun II
  • Fixed refueling stations giving more fuel than the player ship's fuel capacity

    thanks for the update, the game is getting more and more polished. Pitty though that there are still no story components, looking forward to it.

    One thing though, the perks on my screen do not show what they level up. Don't know if I have unlocked everything already or if I'm missing something.

    Added keyboard controls customization


    Now all we need is control customization for HOTAS! :)

    Just a quick question, the kickstarter page mentioned a new feature called "Action Freeze" that was introduced into the beta, but I can't find a keybind for that in the current beta build.
    Is this coming in a later build?

    Edit: Silly me, it's a menu option, not a keybind!

    The keybind is "Z."

    From the same block of text and the Beta gameplay video, did the visual modifications make it into this release build? In the hangar, I see the modified first ship in the back with the nose strakes and winglets, and saw the silhouettes of the other two (explicitly labeled unavailable) base ships, but nothing hinting that it can be done.

    Hey I signed up for the Beta but don't see any key or link to download in any of the confirmation emails that were sent. How do you get access to it?

    I had the same problem. Do you by any chance use google mail? If yes check if the mail with the steam key is filed under advertisement
