    Hi, sorry to hear that you are affected by this infamous "D3D device being lost" unreal engine bug. Thanks for working your way through the installation troubleshooting, if you can play for a few minutes I guesss the bug is not the result of a faulty installation or missing prerequisites.

    Some people managed to get rid of the problem by toning down the overclocking of their (potentially factory-overclocked) graphics card. Editing the tdrDelay might also help, more info here:

    I had this problem too and one of the things I did was re-install all of my motherboard drivers. So, maybe you have a chipset problem.
