Microsoft includes features to rebind button mapping through the console itself, so you can adjust this to your liking that way.
I know it's a bit of a non-ideal solution, sorry about that. I've recently learned that there's a deep process adjust something as simple as custom controller bindings, which would require a lot more work, time, processing, localization, authorization, approvals, uploading, and finally implementation. And since Everspace is content-complete, this means we would have to sacrifice all this energy from our current project to go back and make this happen. So not only would it take up our time to get this done, it would take away our time on our upcoming work.
All this said, we've definitely been soaking in the criticism and suggestions for Everspace and are making sure we do things right in our next title. So thank you for letting us know how you feel about the controls; we'll do what we can for future titles.
