    My guess is that the crash is caused by a faulty download and corrupt files. I recommend a full and clean re-install. Make sure there are absolutely no files in the folder you installed the game to as well as in the config folder located at C:\Users\{YOUR_USERNAME}\AppData\Local\RSG\Saved before re-installing or verifying game cache via steam.
