Crash on startup VR

Windows 10 gs65 stealth gtx 1070

Seems to run normally, but crashes in VR mode on Rift.

Bought this game just for this, so I'd like to get it going

Please let me know :)

    Guess you didn't use the search thingie, did you? ;) The ResizeBuffers() error is well known, guess your trouble is similar to this one: https://forum.everspace-game.com/discussion/5020/crash-during-loading-reinstall-did-not-fix

    I actually had no idea what to even search for. I don't have that sound app installed, so I'm not sure what else I should do . Any suggestions?

    In fact the problem is triggered by many overlays, not just a particular software. Can't tell what exactly causes it as I have no overlays running nor even installed (and no VR headset as well :) ) yet the first thing I'd go for is disabling anything suspicious (Steam overlay included, though can't tell for sure as I bought from GOG). Also make sure you don't run DX11's forced debug layer (though if you don't know what it is, chances are really slim it can be turned on on your rig). And, like always - try running with a decreased screen percentage.
