Bug: Everspace does not respect default audio output after startup

I have a set of speaker and a USB headset attached to my PC and I use AudioSwtich to switch between them (so I don't annoy my SO with loud explosions). Under the hood, this application just switches the "default audio output" device in windows.

Issue: Everspace does not respect the switch after it has been started. If I switch once Everspace is running the Everspace audio still goes through the previous output device. If I then re-launch Everspace the output device is correctly choosen. Other games can handle this so it should be possible.
