Re: Stuck at Ceto Ghost Hunt
Hi, we actually need two save files in order to load them. The "real one" and the one that has the same name an has "preview" in its file name.
Having said that, the way you describe it I think that everything is in order. You just don't seem to be aware that you can destroy Outlaw Bomb Throwers which are protected by a Gravity Shield by throwing their own bombs back at them (Press "F" to catch a bomb)

Re: karlie mission stuck
Hi, so when you start a new run, no wormhole rappears and what does the misson log say?
Anyway, I don't think anyone mentioned this problem in more than a year, maybe two... You could send us your save game to support at rockfishgames . com and we can try to fix it for you and send it back. We would need the CurrentPlayerSave.sav, it is located at C:\Users\{YOUR_USERNAME}\AppData\Local\RSG\Saved\SaveGames You can reach the AppData\Local folder quickly by typing %localappdata% in a Windows Explorer address field

more corvete types please
This is just a prety simple suggestion. In everspace there was only one corvette and that was the okar corvette. I would imagine the outlaws having a modified ship that was a large scrapper for dissasembling sations and stealing their resoruces along with bashing your ship, spinning it out and disrupting it's inertia dampeners. While the GnB could have a corvette with strong tractor beams and large engines that would pull and maybe even sling astroids at attackers. Not sure what the colonial fleet would have but they usualy don't make an apearence so it might not be needed. But that's all I got for now. Hope you consider it.
Re: karlie mission destroy power core
Hi, you need to power up the station to activate the power core. It should be possible even with the gunship and no speed upgrades. Maybe you have not find the ideal activation order for the generators, yet?
Re: Maybe i am missing something?
Yes, there are only the listed zones in the star system you start at in the prototype. Any N/A locations can't be traveled to.
Pressing F1 brings up all the basic controls, but I think the default for switching secondaries is R, which you can change in the options if you want.
The forums aren't that active yet, so don't expect responses immediately.

Re: Everspace 2 now live on Kickstarter!
Regarding CR, we can't promise it at this point. It's a lot of work and many people gave us bad reviews for the VR implementation in Everspace, so at this point, it looks we'll only consider doing it when having tons of money and also, as stated in the FAQ, if we do it, it will be a special Everspace 2 VR version
Re: Steam Key for Demo
Just wanted to let you guys know, I was going to write here because I couldn't find my key too but then I found it under Promotions in my gmail. Might be worth checking there.

Re: Component damage and more large ship types.
Looking at the Demo tells us a lot about this already. We see both and Outlaw Destroyer whose turrets sink into the ship to repair on a timer and when Erik takes out the outlaw base, we can see a variety of structures from generic fuel tanks to turrets, faction (or rather, subfaction banners) and so called "boost structures" which work similarly to drones that provide shield or sensor perks in ES1. Taking these out bit by bit grants you access to the core, in which you can then destroy leading to the miniboss fight with the Madcap.
They also show a WIP test of a system that allows you to enter much larger (assumed to be capital ship class size) vessels that require taking out from the inside. Given bases are fully persistent and the fact you can fly into mines in both asteroids and on planet surfaces, so I would also assume that you could take out mines deep down from the inside using a similar mechanic.
As for component system, this image on their kickstarter shows a much more in depth perk/component system, and I would fully expect part of this to added to high level enemies, such as subclass specific abilities like EMP and the ability to do, say, X damage to overheat or cripple it - by perhaps hitting a certain part of the ship - although I cannot confirm this.
